Bright Eyes Axed From BBC's Watership Down Reboot

Art Garfunkel’s legendary solo tune Bright Eyes has been sensationally booted out of the BBC’s baffling and uncalled for CG reboot of Watership Down, with the sad rabbits to get a theme tune recorded by some young buck who goes by the name of Sam Smith instead.

The budget has instead gone on getting loads of famous names in to do the voices, with Brit film and TV regulars John Boyega, Mackenzie Crook, Olivia Colman, Gemma Arterton, Rory Kinnear and James McAvoy providing the star sounds of the doomed bunny population. The BBC is co-producing this “innovative interpretation” of the book with rival Netflix, which explains where the money for all the famous people is coming from.
