Jason Donovan is Doing Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Again

We closed our eyes, drew back the curtain, and there was Jason Donovan.

Nineties kids will distinctly remember ‘Scott from Neighbours’ as he was known back then taking the lead role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (that’s not a typo, it’s still spelt “technicolor” even in the UK. Humph), and now he’s going to be in the show again.

But not as Joseph.

Donovan will instead be playing the part of Pharaoh in the new show, which opens at the London Palladium this July.

He was last in Dreamcoat (as theatre wankers call it) back in 1992:
