SpaceIL Now Planning Second Private Moon Lander

Even though SpaceIL’s first attempt at a moon landing was a failure, the firm is announcing they will be trying again. On Saturday, founder Morris Khan took to Twitter to announce that the “dream goes on” with the launch of Beresheet 2.0.

Khan further revealed that the team behind the new lander would start its work on April 14th to “complete the mission”. However, no other details were given.

The first Beresheet lander crashed into the surface of the moon after a main engine failure just two days ago.
